A few times a week I pose a question to my followers on Instagram to get them thinking about different situations in their lives, I firmly believe that getting conscious of our inner thoughts and desires is so very important. This week it was, what brings you joy?
My video for the question is an outdoor shower at my sister's cottage, for me, that is pure bliss, I could stay there all day. Above me, there is a beautiful canopy of trees, and in front of me is a spectacular view of the lake. There is something freeing about standing naked surrounded by mother nature that fills my heart, soul, and body with complete and utter joy! So I ask you, what brings you JOY?🌟 Yeah, that warm and fuzzy feeling that makes you smile from ear to ear.
Let me ask you this: Do you know what brings you the most joy? It's like finding that hidden treasure chest filled with happiness. Sometimes, it's easy to spot - like when you're eating your favorite ice cream or playing with your pet. Other times, it's a bit sneakier, like when you're lost in a book or dancing around your room to your favorite tunes.
If you're not sure what makes your heart do a little happy dance, don't worry. We're going to figure it out together. It's like being a joy detective – how cool is that?
The Joy List 📝
Grab a piece of paper and your favorite marker (or pencil, if you prefer). Make a list of things you enjoy doing. It could be drawing, singing, riding your bike, helping others, playing soccer – anything that makes you feel like you're on cloud nine. Remember, there's no right or wrong answer here. It's all about what makes you happy..
The Joyful Experiment 🧪
Now, let's put on our scientist goggles (okay, maybe just imagine them) and start experimenting. Set aside some time to do one thing from your Joy List. Pay attention to how you feel while doing it. Do you have a big grin on your face? Are you so into it that you lose track of time? That's a sign, my friend – a clue to what brings you joy.
More of the Good Stuff 🎉
Once you've discovered a few joy-filled activities, make a plan to do them more often. Think of it as planting joy seeds and watching them grow into amazing joy flowers. Schedule them into your day or week, just like you do with homework or chores. It's important to make time for the things that light up your heart.
Share the Joy ❤️
Guess what? Joy is contagious! When you're doing something that brings you joy, it radiates out and spreads to others. Share your joy with friends and family. Teach them a dance move, draw a picture for them, or simply tell them about the awesome book you're reading. You'll be amazed at how your joy can make someone else's day brighter.
Let's change our inner and outer worlds together
Remember, my amazing readers, finding your joy is like a special superpower. It's a way to make every day a little more awesome. Go out there, try new things, and keep that joy radar on high alert. You've got this, and your journey to a joy-filled life is just beginning!
I'd love to know how your joy journey is going, leave a comment and let me know what your joy story!!
